CHILLIWACK CURLING CLUB -BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING – March 4, 2015 @ 7:00 pm

02. Minutes	Approval of Minutes – Feb 4, 2015 moved by Larry & 2^nd by Neil to accept as presented. Carried
03. Correspondence	Review –Requisition for Funding from Masters for Playdowns. Accepted. It was moved by Larry & 2^nd by Adam to accept new Membership Application from Martin Schmok. Carried It was moved by Bobby & 2^nd by Adam to accept letter of resignation from Rob Garf. Carried.
04. Old Business	None
05. New Business	05.1 Community Sports Hero Awards. Bruce did the paperwork nomination for Maria Mailloux.
	05.2 New Building: Bruce reported that the council had approved 1^st and 2^nd reading of the budget to include funding for a new Curling Club building in 2018. Larry suggested we set up a committee with Bruce & Andre and other club members. It was suggested that CCC Members show support at the 3^rd and final reading of the budget on March 17^th at 7:30 pm.
06. Curl BC Report	Bruce reported that we were assigned a Playdowns for next year which we declined.
07. Manager’s Report	Bruce reported: - Leagues are winding down - Drain the keg on March 27^th and band is Nighthawks - Inspection List is almost complete with no re-inspection date currently set
08. Rocks n’ Rings	Wendi reported that 1 day coming up at Vedder Elementary in April. No word on replacement instructor.	Wendi to Contact Will Sutton @ Curl BC
09. Reports	09.1 Executive – n/a
	09.2 Finance / Treasurer & Revenue Generation – n/a
	09.3 Bonspiels & Leagues: Larry reported that there were 48 teams for the upcoming Mixed and could still use some help. Approx 20 of the teams are out of town. The food has all been organized. Sue Hermann needs some help in kitchen on Sunday.
	09.4 Juniors & Clinics. Wendi reported that we hosted a mini Spiel on Saturday with 5 teams from Chilliwack and 5 from out of town. Everyone played 3 – six end games and pizza enjoyed by all.
	09.5 Social. Andre reminded us about Drain the Keg on March 27^th. Golf Tournament is almost full.
	09.6 Membership Recruitment & Retention. Bruce reported that we are registered with Elder College and have offered a 6 week course here at the club.
	09.7 Building / Facility Enhancement. n/a
	09.8 Awards. Wendi met with Kim who turned over the file. Wendi has sent out an email to all membership
