Manager’s Report |
1. James fell
off a ladder on Nov. 5 away from the rink and broke his heel. He is on medical EI and I think the club
should make up the difference as a bonus to him when he returns for his
dedication, extra hours and hard work since he started four years ago. I have
assumed ice scraping duties and Aaron and Steph have filled in for the
sweeps, pebbles and nips during the day.
It looks like he will be out until January. I will be doing the flooding and ice maintenance during the
holidays. 2. Halloween dance went well with about 110
people attending. No problems or
issues. Bar sales were just under
$2200.00 3. Pot of Gold
Bonspiel went well on the weekend with 24 teams playing. 3. Rentals for
November/December: - Rogers Foods X-mas – Nov. 29 -Legion Play downs- Dec. 6 - Sutton Realty X-mas-Dec. 13 -Larry Industries X-mas-Dec. 20 4. Starting next
Friday from 3-5 pm until the end of the season after school groups ( Grade
3-6-20 students) will be coming for instruction and curling. Club will receive $3/student/session. If anyone is available to help it would be
appreciated. 5. Dues are
being accounted for and any delinquent ones are being chased. Larry has updated my data base so should
have time to get back on this late this week. 6. Advertising invoices have been printed and
should get them in the mail tomorrow with a thank you letter to all in ice,
scoreboard and wall advertisers. 7. Poinsettia
sales aren’t quite as strong as the past few years but we should still make
around $500.00 for the club. Well worth doing and I will try to promote a
little early next year, but haven’t been able to be in the office as much as
I would like with James’ injury. |
|

growth but did not drop much either. |
|
