06. Curl BC Report

Report – Dave reported at the CCA / Ntl. Curling Convention this summer it was recommended to increase their fees to $5.00 per member.  It was also suggested that the Competitor’s fees be raised to $36 per player / per division up from $30.00.

Curl BC Insurance – the indemnity for fractures was increased.  They are looking for host sites for some events.  The Intl. Tankard in Beverton, Oregon, not Seattle and will be held March 20-22, 2015.  We are hosting next year and recommend we send someone from our club to this event.

 

 

 

07. Manager’s Report

 

Report – Bruce reported that all leagues are up and running.  League fees coming in very well this year.  Several rentals booked including 2 Christmas Parties and one anniversary.  Annual fire inspection done today.  Kitchen hood needs to be cleaned annually. 

 

 

 

08. Rocks n’ Rings

 

Wendi reported that she has bookings for Coquihalla Elem (Hope) and Sardis Elem – both in the new Year.  Strathcona Elementary is looking to book again.  Dates TBA

09.2 Finance/Treasurer & Revenue Generation – Lenneke reported that the balance is strong. No formal report at this time.

 

 

 

 

 

09.3 Bonspiels & Leagues – Draws all done.  Rumours of a few more teams.  Most leagues are up and that includes day leagues.  Overall we are up this year.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

09.4 Juniors & Clinics      - Wendi reported that there we 18 at the Junior Clinic and 29 at the Adult Clinic.  Juniors start on Oct 6 & 7th and as always, are looking for volunteers, especially on the Tuesday afternoons  3:45- 5:45 pm.

 

 

 

 

 

09.5 Social – Top Dog is on Oct 17th and we need volunteers to staff stations.  Halloween Oct 31st event is coming up.  Want to have decorations up a week ahead.  DJ has been booked.  125 of the 165 tickets will be available.  Pre-Sales only.  None at the door.  Cost $5.00

09.7 Building / Facility Enhancement – Fred reported that they are trying to get the cameras fixed.  One appears to have something on it and that should be done by this Saturday.  Ice seems pretty consistent.
