07. Manager’s Report

1. Under ice pipes were repaired and 100 gallons of brine was added to

the system before firing the plant on August 25.  Oil was changed in both

compressors as a bi annual maintenance procedure.  The filters in the

under floor heating/compressor cooling system were cleaned also.

The dehumidifiers were started  at the same time and one dehumidifier

compressor needs replacing.  We have a quote for just under $5000.00

for a used ( 1988 ) compressor motor and quotes for a new compressor

are being researched.  At this time we will run with one compressor to

see if it can handle the whole ice shed.  I informed the City that we

patched the roof for $9000.00 and that we need work on the

dehumidifier hoping this will speed the process for the construction of

the new facility.

2. Ice painting will be done on Sept. 8 and 9 with James lining up his

of volunteers.  He will have the ice ready for the Open House on Sept. 13

at 1 pm.

3. Proshop stock should arrive late this week or early next week in

for the start of the season.

4. Newspaper ads have been placed for 2 times next week about the

“Open House”, Clinic and league openings.  We will place one the

following week for Juniors and Day leagues.

5.  Emails have been sent to the members about the Open House as well

as the new incentives for new members.  We will add a line to the

membership form to state who referred them for club buck

and free league dues draw.

6.  Glen Ford has agreed to teach private lessons this season for singles or

groups of up to four people.  He will be taking booking directly or

through the office.

7. I have sent out an email asking for help with the Open House.

8.  We are ready to start the season.  Any questions or concerns?
