05. New Business

05.1 Snack Bar – there has been some difficulty filling shifts and it was suggested a few limited spots could be filled by members from other leagues for a discount.  The Day ladies have no objections as this point and will discuss as it may affect income and would be for a trial period.  Options #1 – compensate others with club bucks as well as those who go over and above mandatory obligations in kitchen.   Option #2 Another option might be to look t leasing out the kitchen in the future OR compensate others with club bucks when they do shifts.  It was also discussed to consider creating another day league that does not have mandatory kitchen duties.  This could help our daytime numbers.

05.2 Day Ladies Request – It was moved by Larry and 2nd by Dave that we approve their request to operate the kitchen.

Wendi to send letter

05.3 Bowls of Hope – Bruce will contact Gold line to see if he can get a broom donation.  It was moved by Dave & 2nd by Bree that we donate a broom and 2 x 1 hour lessons from Bruce.  Carried

07. Manager’s Report

1. Open house had 17 on Saturday and 39 on Sunday.  Thanks to all the volunteers that came out and helped.

2. Unaudited ATM numbers since installation on Dec. 4, 2013-1575 transactions and over $80,000.00 dispensed

3. Larry Legault and Donna Allan will receive will receive Community Sport Hero Awards this Spring from the City.

4. Leagues winding down and interleague playoffs scheduled for next week.

5. Ladies entry to the BC Club Challenge will be refunded.  They are very disappointed with the club as this would have been the first year with all Lower Mainland clubs participating.  The number of entries into these events helps to convince Dominion Insurance to keep fund this program.

6. I met with Gord Pederson and Ryan Mulligan for an hour on Monday in regards to what the club would like to see for a new facility.  We are scheduled for the end of this decade, but if monies come available we need to have a concept, footprint and preliminary budget prepared.  Canada turns 150 years old in 2017 and there is usually infrastructure money available at this time.  They are extremely happy with how well utilized and maintained this building is and want to keep this relationship going forth.   I think we will be relocated at this location but they are promising nothing at this time.
