Received a letter to transfer Share from Ron Jacob to Janice Hodge.

   Larry reminded us that shares are non-transferrable – 1980’s.

Received a letter from the Ladies to operate the Snack Bar.

Cost is $5.00.  Bobby, Lenneke, Dave & Bree agreed to help with recording shots.

Also, look into heat exchangers on condenser to help save money.

Report

1. BC Hydro has been contacted about claim

2. Cost of our start up was approx. $7000.00

3. ATM – CarTronics – Cost about $3000.00 –we keep 100% profits

    Need to supply secure spot, power & Internet lines. Comes with a

    One year warranty.

4.  Wrote cheque for $70,000 to CCA for rocks.  Then we will get our

     Grant funds and money for used rocks.  New rocks have a 10 year

    Warranty.

Reports

07.1 Executive – met today to discuss direction of board.

We are a working board and not a governing board.

 

 

 

07.2 Finance/Treasurer & Revenue Generation

- bar much stronger over the summer

- league fees are being paid ahead of schedule

- wages up due to additional summer costs

- advertising 10,800 billed, 5700 collected to mid September

- 20,000 more than budgeted for – in grant proceeds/.

 

 

 

07.3 Building/Facility Enhancement

- loose screws on roof tightened and quik seal applied

- will need some minor gutter repairs next year

- front garden cleaned up – need some replacement shrubs

 

 

07.4 Bonspiels & Leagues

- Ice breaker – cancelled due to low sign up. Band moved to Top Dog

- leagues started this week

- 48 people in our new Learn to Curl league

 

 

07.5 Membership Recruitment & Retention

- Summer program winding down.

 

 

07.6 Juniors & Clinics     

- Over 30 people attended. Thank you Doreen & Rick.

- Oct 1 & 2 – Junior Clinic

- Oct 9th – Junior Program starts with 2 draws for Little Rockers

               & Juniors.

07.8 Ice Conditions

- It’s in. No complaints.  James is happy with new rocks and ice.

Frank Jamieson fundraiser – November 17th – Bruce will have tickets.

Cheque needs to be issued for last recipient.
