04.     Old Business

04.1 TV Screens – Bruce advised us that the budget should be about $3500.00 for router, cable and 4 TV’s & 2 cameras.

Adam moved to purchase and have installed. 2nd by Fred.      Carried

04.2 New Rocks – They are taller rocks with a longer lasting band, so we are sending all of them back and recommend we purchase 4 extra. 

Bruce to look into free transport.  Approve ordering of 4 more new rocks.

 

04.3 Rocks and Rings Purchase update – not ordered yet. Warehouse is moving so waiting until that is done.

04.5 Bursary Selection – suggested that we do it earlier in the year.  To be announced in February with a decision to be made in April.  Frank Jamieson is $400 and the John Roberts is $300.

05.1 Rock Engraving and Sponsorship

Wendi to contact Danny Lamouerx for details of their program

 

05.2 Kraft Celebration Tour – we have been nominated by Maria Maimone.  Need to wait to see if we make the final cut

 

 

 

05.3 Party in the Park – starts July 6th and runs for 8 weeks.  From 4-9 pm Fridays.  Fred, Bruce, Andre, Wendi & Gary agreed to help Bobby.

 

06.     Curl BC Report

 Dave unable to attend. No report

 

07.     Manager’s Report

Bruce reported:

- Pro shop items have been ordered

- Paint and Jet Ice tanks – ordered

- blade has been done

- Sand is still wet.  Need some hot weather to dry it out

- Rentals – 3 June, 3 July and 2 August

07.4 Bonspiels & Leagues – Larry reported that there are 87 prizes on hand and he is still shopping.  We may need to up the budget for the “D” Men’s event.

07.5 Membership Recruitment & Retention – brochure being produced for Party in the Park etc.

 

 

07.6 Juniors & Clinics

- all Junior programs will be on Tuesday

07.7 Social – Golf tournament had a good turn-out.  Not enough prizes.  Need to check the fees for next year.
