meeting held on September 21, 2011.

Rurka, Dana Page, Vince Parkes, Wendy Parkes. CARRIED. Received request from Diane Burkowsky to redeem
membership for health reasons.

05. NEW Business |
05.1 Curl BC Meeting. Attended by Dave Stephenson - received proposal for all clubs to take 3 year rotations on hosting various provincial events. It was discussed that our club might agree to host the Men’s event. - Poinsettia sales – are we interested? Need more info and a coordinator - Vancouver Curling Club Open House Oct 29th - Our club will pay mileage for board members to attend Curl BC Meetings - Next meeting in November in North Vancouver |

05.2 Halloween Oct. 28th 8:30 p.m.– 1:00 a.m. - Send out email to reminder – Members & guests only - Posters for club - Decorating – 5 pm on Sunday (all who are available). Have some decorations already. - DJ Booked – Dance Party (Mike Walters) |

06. Manager’s Report |
- Director’s name tags have been ordered - Pro shop and bar sales going strong - Most dues and locker fees have been collected - Tap the Keg party was well attended - Top Dog went well with 29 participants. Aaron Murray won and will be refunded Friday night dues. - Need Club Liaison to coordinate Junior Playdowns Dec 3-5 and Ladies Playdowns Dec 16-18. - Hot dog machine purchased and sales slowly building. Night menu postponed until hot dog machine paid for. |

07.1 Executive: No report |

07.2 Finance/Treasurer: - Basically on budget. Nothing Noteworthy - Approx $4600 of the $10,000 outstanding from 2010 advertising collected and approx. 60% of this year collected. |

07.3 Building/Facility Enhancement: - Fire & alarm panels changed - New cash box in kitchen - 2 holes being repaired - Ashtray being installed on balcony |

07.4 Bonspiels & Leagues - Ladies are working on the Chili Spiel - Masters starts tomorrow (Oct 20th) - Sr. Mixed – 7 teams registered – need 16 - Notices sent to other clubs |

07.5 Membership Recruitment & Retention: - New Chair

07.6 Juniors & Clinics - Numbers seem to be down about 50% this year. May be due to Teachers strike (not distributing posters provided) - Maria needs some volunteers to help with juniors on Tuesdays at 3:30. Send out an email request to members - Interclub with Abbotsford, Golden Ears, Mission and Chilliwack hosted in Chilliwack on Nov 26 & Feb 25 |

07.8 Social Committee - Tap the Keg – no DJ. Went okay - Top Dog – had lots of help. - Should look at request for New Year’s Party |
