BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

MINUTES

MARCH 24TH, 2011

President Larry Legault called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

Larry Legault gave Peter Lui’s verbal resignation from the Board. Letter to follow.

Minutes:

The minutes of the Feb. 27th meeting are approved as reviewed. Carried.

- No business arising from minutes.

Correspondence:

- Letter from Daytime Ladies League requesting the Board’s consideration in nominating Audrey Bowman as a Life Member.

Old Business:

- Masters League has agreed to donate $4,000.00 towards new hacks, on ice lights, new chairs for upstairs viewing.

- Have applied for Curling Assistance Program grant.

New Business:

- AGM is scheduled for Thursday, May 26^th.

- Life members: requirement is has to be a certificate holder. Reply to letter re: Audrey Bowman/non certificate holder.

Treasurer’s Report:

- None

Manager’s Report:

- Day Leagues have finished.

- Plant to be shut down April 4^th.

- Open house to be held April 3^rd.

- List has been started for summer maintenance.

- Banners for the BC Mixed Champions has been ordered.

- Paint, etc to be ordered next month.

Programs and Services:

Juniors/clinic

- Junior league had their wind up pizza party.

- Junior league presented Peter Lui with a broom bag and gift certificate for all his hard work.

Social:

- Golf tournament at Aquadel to be May 29^th.

- Drain the Keg will be on April 1st.

Bonspiels:

- Spring mixed -34 teams. Successful spiel.

The issue of not having quorum for meetings needs to be addressed.
