BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
MINUTES
DECEMBER 6TH, 2010
President Larry Legault called
the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

League Championship
Recognition discussion tabled until next meeting.

have been sent out.

Election of Vice
President
Kim
McLandress is nominated for position of Vice President by Gary Roberts.
Concerns
and discussion followed. Elected by acclamation.
New Business:

Sunday Night has gone
well, great group of volunteers have helped out. Interest to continue league in the New Year. Experienced curlers will curl for free when
joining/helping new curlers.

Could add new curlers
names (if agree) to spare list.

Recommend looking into a
Novice League for the next season, program on CurlBC’s website.

Skins Games, Jan. 8th-9th. Poker Night Sat. night.

Manager’s Report:

Most league dues are in
with few exceptions.

Proshop Christmas sale
is now on. Sale items are no longer on
inventory.

The condenser froze
during the cold snap. Some of our heat
tape deteriorated, not working properly and water line froze feeding it. Has been repaired, no bill yet.

Dehumidifiers also
kicked out due to cold. The huts have
been insulated and vapour barriers put up also water lines have been heat taped
by Mark.

Two private rentals this
month, pre booked before liquor inspector meeting. One is member function.

Solution to non-member
rentals, charge $50 extra and give them a membership to the club.

The Christmas
maintenance schedule has been set with Dave doing a double controlled melt.
The
floors will be re-waxed.

Men’s upstairs washroom to be done.

– fudging. The sticky pads have been
removed and end boards are being washed.

Programs and Services:
Juniors/clinic

Junior interclub league
has been successful, with games played in Chwk. And golden Ears. The next game will be in Mission on Jan. 9th.

Hope has been invited to
join with the possibility to form Optimist Club, Upper Fraser Division with
Chwk. As Base Club. Have the OK from Al
Kersey who is in charge of Lower Mainland Optimist Club.

I am pleased to report
that Maria Mailloux has agreed to take over the Junior Program next year, Donna
Allan the Little Rockers and I am asking the Board to give them full support.

We are holding a one day
workshop for Intermediate curlers on Jan. 2 form 9am to 3pm, cost $25, lunch
(pizza) included. Bruce Renwick will
cover strategy; Peter Lui on Technical while Matt Prinse and Kevin Jones will
cover brushing. Limit of 24 curlers, 12
have already signed up.
Social:

New Years Eve tickets
are available. $20 from 8pm to 2am.

Will look into getting
drivers to take people home.
