March 6, 2018: Laying out the vapour barrier that lies under the concrete slab floor.

March 7, 2018: Laying out rebar for the concrete slab floor.

March 9, 2018: The rebar is in place and they are placing the last of the forms for the concrete slab floor. They are hoping to pour on Monday.

March 12, 2018: A busy day! The first shipment of the steel girders has arrived and is being unloaded.

March 12, 2018: The steel will be stored on the ice shed floor where it will be sorted and then installed, hopefully later this week.

March 12, 2018: They are also pouring the concrete slab for the floor at the front end of the building.

March 15, 2018: Working on the gravel base for the concrete pad in the Mechanical Room.

March 15, 2018: More of the steel girders and posts have arrived. Now they have to sort them like a giant jigsaw puzzle.

March 15, 2018: Erection of the steel structure has started. Three posts along the wall separating the ice shed from the viewing area.

March 19, 2018: More and more posts have been erected, plus a couple of the cross braces.

March 20, 2018: More posts and cross braces.

March 23, 2018: More posts at the front end of the building.

March 23, 2018: Lots and lots of trusses.

March 26, 2018: The big crain arrived on a very rainy day. They got lots of cross beams installed today.

March 27, 2018: Setting one of the floor joists in place.

March 27, 2018: Lots of joists and trusses were installed today.

March 27, 2018: It looks like about half the steel structure for the front of the building is installed.

March 28, 2018: More and more joists and trusses.

March 28, 2018: Pouring the floor slab in the compressor room.

March 29, 2018: The header trench at the far end of the ice. The main coolant pipes run through it, then smaller pipes will branch off to run under the concrete pad.

March 29, 2018: Lifting the middle of the three pillars that run down the middle of the ice shed.

March 29, 2018: Putting the middle pillar in place.

March 29, 2018: The finished floor slab in the mechanical room.

March 29, 2018: The trusses in the ice shed are going up.
