Goal:
TO IMPROVE MEMBERSHIP RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION
Objectives:
In order of priority:
- Develop Membership Team including Board & League Representatives
- Identify Focus Groups for Recruitment Activities in areas of need
- Conduct interviews with new curlers, seasonal surveys, exit interviews
and have a buddy or mentor for new curlers.
- Establish membership targets for leagues and age groups, particularly
teens and the 20-40 age group. Speak to high schools, college, and other clubs.
- Target other sports or clubs for partnerships – softball, baseball,
lacrosse.
- Identify methods to actively approach these groups
- Develop a member recruit a member program with an established reward and
clear description of responsibilities.
- Conduct recruitment drive in March and April with advertising of events
and clinics through local media and CCC’s website.
- Take advantage 2010 Olympics to promote curling in our club.
- Ensure that methods are utilized and recruiting activities are carried out
- Assess results and revise methods as needed
- Introduce potential members to CCC and available opportunities (in
springtime if possible)
- Develop structured curling clinic for new members (mentors)
- Ease new members into curling with special events in the fall
- Follow up with new members to ensure satisfaction
- Ensure potential vacancies identified in the springtime
- Conduct exit interviews to identify issues
- Determine needs for recruitment activities
