Objectives:

  1. Implement clinics for Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced curlers (2)
  2. Implement clinics for strategy of curling, Ice-Techs & Coaches (3)
  3. Ensure curling leagues are fully subscribed to (1)
  4. Establish curling leagues and activities during times of low/no ice use (2)
  5. Explore opportunities for people who want to curl casually or for a half-season (3)
  6. Establish new, non-traditional leagues: Stick, Doubles, Drop-In (2)
  7. Promote one-time events such as (1)
    1. Bonspiels
    2. Top Gun
    3. Novelty Nights
    4. Ryder Cup of Curling
    5. Junior/Senior combinations
    6. Member/Guest Night
  8. Promote a variety of league events and special activities such as (1)

    2. Steak Night

    4. Creative Combo
    5. Front End – Back End Switch
    6. Member – Guest Night
    7. Consider establishing an annual charity event with corporate sponsor to increase visibility for both organizations.

    2. Poker Nights
    3. Night Out (Steak Night)
  10. Submit application(s) to host events such as play-downs, championships, etc. (3)
  11. Promote various challenges such as (2)

    2. Sponsors

    5. Interclub (Mission/Abbotsford/Hope/Chilliwack, etc)
  12. Capitalize on 2010 Olympics (1)

  14. Fully utilize facility in the non-peak curling season (2)

  15. Investigate alternate uses of ice area in off-season (3)
  16. Determine extent of CCC’s Insurance coverage over the various uses of the premises in the off season, and also insurance coverage for the Board of Directors and any volunteers for accidents caused onsite or offsite…possibly due to alcohol consumed on premises. (1)
  17. Determine team structures necessary to develop and deliver programs and services. (1)
  18. Continue to develop our Youth Programs (1)
  19. Continue to develop progressive skill development opportunities for all levels throughout the year. (2)
  20. Upgrade bar/restaurant inventory and availability. (2)
